A Simple Guide For What It’s Like Working Together

Most people come to a CPA because something feels heavy. Taxes, deadlines, confusing notices, hoping you’re doing things right but not totally sure. My job is to make that weight feel lighter. Not by drowning you in technical talk, but by being a real human.

Here’s what working together actually looks like.

Let's Work Together!

What You Can Expect from Me

Grounded, Steady Support

We aren’t a tax season pop-up shop. When you need us, we’ll be here so you never feel like you’re carrying everything by yourself

Zero Judgement

Messy books? Behind on taxes? Confused about something? We don’t care. You’re here now, and that’s what matters.

Quick Acknowledgement and Follow-Up

The number one complaint we hear from people looking for new CPA’s is that they could never get ahold of the last guy. We have various communication lines and pride ourselves on quick responses

  • Most things flow through the secure portal and email. You can send questions, upload documents, and see what is waiting on you in one place.

I’ll notate your preferred communication method and reach out accordingly.

  • During business hours, you can usually expect a reply the same day. If I need time to dig into something, you will get a quick message, so you know I saw it and am on it.

If you reach out in the evening or on a weekend, I reply the next business day unless we already know that something is urgent or time sensitive.

  • I don’t need you to have everything perfect. I need you to be willing to partner with me. That usually looks like:

    • Uploading documents when requested

    • Responding to questions so I can fill in the gaps

    • Letting me know when something big shifts in your life or business

    • Speaking up when something feels confusing or heavy.

When you keep me in the loop, I can help you make calmer, better informed choices.

  • Most of my work has been virtual for years even when I was technically in the office. Clients were already using portals, e-signature, video calls, secure uploads, and all the tools that make the work smoother and faster than trying to coordinate in-person meetings.

Choosing to go fully virtual was not about cutting corners. It was about leaning into what already worked best for the people I serve.

    Virtual means:

    • You upload documents when you have time, not only during business hours

    • We meet over video when it is helpful, not because you had to drive across town

    • You get clear instructions and reminders without juggling paper

    • You get to stay home with your kids, keep running your business, or avoid rearranging your entire day for a tax appointment

It ends up being more flexible, more efficient, and a better experience for both of us.

You still get me, directly. The relationship is the same. The logistics simply get easier.

  • Just reach out. Life shifts. I’ll adjust your plan, update projections, and make sure you stay on track.
